I approached several local property managers, however Jo Johnston very quickly outshone the competition. Upon my initial request for information, Jo responded in a most timely manner & followed up immediately with a visit to myself & the property.
As a first time landlord I was largely ignorant of the prerequisites of putting a property onto the rental market. In our first meeting Jo explained the entire process clearly and established a possible timeframe for achieving my aim of getting a tenant into the property.
I knew from that first meeting that Jo would be my preferred property manager, and in the weeks that followed as I prepared the house for rental, Jo kept up regular communications regarding the online marketing of the property, viewings and the proposed open day.
Jo sourced numerous potential tenants for viewings, and her obvious experience in dealing with rental candidates allowed her to provide me with clear, informed choices when it came to choosing between the candidates.
Once the successful candidate was chosen, Jo assisted closely with the final preparations in getting the house ready to lease, including the various regulatory prerequisites.
The property now has a long-term tenant installed, the entire process from deciding to rent out to a tenant signing the lease taking barely 6 weeks.
This speedy result is entirely the result of Jo's experience & professionalism, and I look forward to her managing my property for as long as she can. I would recommend her to anyone who was in a similar position to myself.
